celebrate this Day by undertaking activities with diverse partners, such as natio-nal, regional and international
broadcasting associations and organizations, non-governmental organizations, media organizations, outlets as well as the

Latin American DX Survey 2015

(As seen in Australian DX News (ARDXC), December 20 15). Available for Free Download
Rob Wagner has compiled the 2015 survey of Latin American broadcasters. This list represents
those stations that were monitored at his QTH at Mount Evelyn, VIC. It is not intended as a
complete list of all stations operating in South America. The survey covers many domestic South
American stations as well as two international broadcasters between March and September this
year. Also featured in this year's survey is an article he wrote for the August issue of The Spectrum
Monitor magazine entitled "Radio Verdad - Small Signal, Big Heart", which focuses on this very
unique Guatemalan broadcaster.

Reorganization Radio Sweden: Russian edition closes.
Multilingual Department of Swedish radio called Radio Sweden, reorganized. Two of the eight editions: Russian and
German are closed on 1 April.
Head of Radio Sweden Ingemar Löfgren / Ingemar Löfgren explains the closing of the two editions as follows:
- We turn "boat" and focusing our efforts on the "new Swedes" (immigrants) and newcomers (refugees). Thus, the
German and the Russian edition - the remnants of the old broadcasting abroad / utlandsprogrammet, which is no longer
coupled with our goal - to reflect the diversity in Sweden ", - he said.
Five editions (in an abbreviated part of normal) - English, Arabic, Kurdish, Persian and Somali - go into newsroom Ekot
Swedish Radio.
According to the program director of the Swedish Radio / Sveriges Radio Bjorn Lёfdalya / Björn Löfdahl, this is done in
order to "adapt the Swedish Radio news operations to the changes that are happening in the outside world." And further:
"With the transfer of parts of the Department of Radio Sweden in the organizational system edition Ekot, we provide the
opportunity to bring to the desired audience (target groups) the right content on the right platform."
Employees of the 5 editions will continue to engage in news journalism at its five languages.
Broadcasting in the language of Gypsies / romá - Radio Romano, translated into the organizational structure Sisuradio,
which broadcasts in the languages of other national minorities in Sweden - Finnish.
Here's how justified the decision of the leadership of the Swedish Radio Head Radio Sweden Ingemar Löfgren:
- Taking into account that we live in a changing in Sweden, we have large minority groups, a lot of "new Swedes", and

journalism in other languages:
- I see it as a guarantee that will be saved the most important part of this dual task. This should not happen that "under the
bonnet" Ekot came to a team that will then be "eaten" by the Swedish news - said Ingemar Löfgren.

The ceremony of launch of the transmitter January 13, the Day of the Russian press, in the studio "STRC Tatarstan".
Start Broadcasting gave the chairman of the State Council of the Republic Farid Mukhametshin, Director of RTRS in
Tatarstan Vladimir Yakimov, Deputy Director General of VGTRK Rifat Sabitov.
Vladimir Yakimov noted fruitful cooperation with RTR and TV "Tatarstan" and assured that the branch will continue the
development of broadcasting in the region.
Rifat Sabitov said that this year the FM-broadcasting "Radio Russii" will cover many towns and districts of the republic,
"for Tatarstan is very important, because there remains a national broadcasting format." RTRS He thanked for their work
and prompt resolution of all the issues raised.
In accordance with the approved by the General Directorate of RTRS program on transfer of broadcasting radio "Radio
of Russii + TV" Tatarstan "with VHF FM-range branch RTRS" RTPTS Republic of Tatarstan "is working on the
development of radio frequencies and the registration of permits for broadcasting radio stations in 22 towns republic.

The radio station "Radio Russia" in Ulyanovsk has passed in FM-range.
Broadcast radio station "Radio Russia" in Ulyanovsk in the VHF band (71.0 MHz) discontinued due to the transition to a
new broadcasting frequency.
Now the "Radio Russia" can be taken as a stereo in FM-band at a frequency of 89.6 MHz or as part of a package of
digital channels RTRS-1 (first multiplex) 56 TCE (754 MHz). The radio signal in the FM-band covers about 59% of the

The audience of programs in Russian!
Attention students! For technical reasons, the program translation of the Russian edition of the World Service Radio
Broadcasting of Ukraine will be temporarily at a frequency of 1278 kHz. It is expected that broadcasting on this
frequency will start at Monday, January 18, 2016.
Broadcasting time is unchanged - from 19 to 23 hours. (16.00-20.00 UTC, Ed.)
On the return to the traditional for the Russian program the frequency of 1431 kHz will be announced later.
Meanwhile, the restored broadcast programs on Ukrainian radio frequency of 549 KHz. Earlier, the broadcast was

Six months ago, I took this strange station -1530 kHz. The signal was 4 points. It was broadcast from the concert hall.
They sang songs in Russian: Cossack and others. It took about s16.00-17.00 UTC. After the concert was to identify -

25 years since the attack on the Lithuanian TV tower
It's hard to believe that 25 years has passed since the assault on the Lithuanian TV tower in Vilnius, resulting in the
murder of 14 unarmed civilians. I remember being glued to my SW radio and Radio Vilnius during this turmoil. So

We were fortunate to visit the small studio at the Sitkunai transmitter site used to relay Lithuanian appeals to the out-side
world in January 1991. And also to visit the TV tower in Vilnius and the memorials to those killed and injured during the
defence of the tower from Soviet attack. (Our visit took place in September 2008 following the 2008 EDXC Conference).

The Kyrgyz seem to switch their transmitters to suit their mood on the
three 75 / 60 meterband frequencies. Possibly they have left from the
USSR Soviet era some 4-5 station units?
Today on Jan 7 at 1605 UT: 4009.835, Kyrgyz Radio 1, Bishkek of
Krasnaya Rechka-KGZ broadcast center, S=8-9 at -75dBm signal, a local
domestic radioplay with two announcers in progress, female and male
voices. Two weeks ago Bishkek accurate footprint was upper sideband on
4010.033 kHz on air though.
By opposite contrast, the unit on 4820 kHz channel is much weaker
today Jan 7, than 4010v kHz.
4819.891, At 1610 UT on Jan 7 very tiny signal propagates from PBS
Xizang Chinese program on even 4820.0 kHz too, latter S=5 or weak -
93dBm. And Bishkek Krasnaya Rechka-KGZ tx as usual on lower sideband
close to 4819.891 kHz, S=4-5 poor tiny -98dBm.

UVB-76 The Buzzer

Credo che questa stazione non abbia bisogno di presentazione e con tutta probabilità è una delle più
famose e conosciute dai radioamatori e swl di tutto il mondo, penso che tutti gli appassionati di radio
abbiano almeno una volta sintonizzato il loro ricevitore per ascoltarla ma, mentre per alcuni l' ascolto è
durato solo pochi minuti, c'è chi come me gli dedica molto del tempo che si passa (quando si può ) davanti
alla radio, magari con il ricevitore a basso volume come sottofondo mentre abbiamo il saldatore accesoa
fare qualcosa e ponendosi la fatidica domanda...... A cosa servirà questa stazione ?
UVB-76 meglio conosciuto come "The Buzzer" è una stazione alquanto misteriosa su cui tante ipotesi
sono state scritte, dalla sua precisa ubicazione che è variata nel tempo, alla sua reale funzione, credo che
ad oggi le uniche notizie più concrete siano che si stratta di una stazione militare, e la sua locazione in
Unione Sovietica, il resto sono solo teorie
La stazione:
Trasmette un tono intermittente (25 pulsazioni al minuto) della durata di 1,25 secondi ed una pausa di
1,85s, sulla frequenza di 4.625 Khz in modo J3E, modulazione d'ampiezza, banda laterale singola,
portante soppressa (ssb), in poche parole si può ascoltare sia in Am che Usb, anche se quest' ultima la
preferisco, la trasmissione è continua 24h ed il suo "Marker" (probabilmente per tenere la frequenza
impegnata) ci fa compagnia dalla fine degli anni 70/inizio anni 80, in qualche occasione il tono è cessato
lasciando solo silenzio, forse per manutenzione.
Ecco come appare il tono del Buzzer visualizzato con un software (Spectran) per l' analisi dei segnali
Il suo ID (identificativo) è stato fino al 2010 UVB-76 (in cirillico УВБ-76 ) o anche UZB-76, e
successivamente MDZhB ( in cirillico МДЖБ) ma per il suo caratteristico suono è stato sopranominato
The Buzzer, ovvero ronzio/cicalino, a me personalmente pare la sirena di una nave, al Buzzer è anche
stato dato un' identificativo come stazione Enigma con sigla "S28". Il Buzzer sembra utilizzi almeno 2
trasmettitori ma c'è chi asserisce che ce ne siano altri dislocati in più punti.
Nota non di poco conto:
A chi è un' assiduo ascoltatore di UVB-76 e chi per sentito dire o leggere sui vari social, saranno al
corrente di una nuova stazione apparsa da Agosto 2015 gemella al Buzzer che trasmette con la stessa
modalità ma sulla frequenza di 6.998 Khz, ascoltandole contemporaneamente si può notare che sono
perfettamente Sincrone, altro bel mistero !!

La locazione di UVB-76:
Anche qui sono tante le voci sulla locazione del Buzzer, quindi tutto va preso un po' come viene, sembra
che fino al 2010 la stazione si trovasse nei pressi di Povarovo, attualmente (sempre da quello che si legge)
come locazione viene data sia la zona limitrofa all a città di Pskov, come la zona nel distretto militare di S.
Pietroburgo
Scopo della stazione:
Ho letto che in un comunicato ufficiale, il governo Russo attribuisce UVB-76 come stazione per studi sulla
Ionosfera "una specie di H.A.A.R.P". Poi entriamo in un tema sui cui si potrebbe scrivere un libro, tra le
tante (forse troppe) teorie si dice che UVB-76 sia da una semplice Number Station per contattare le famose
"spie" alle più ampie e fantasiose ipotesi: Il Buzzer è una sorta di conto alla rovescia per un' ipotetico
attacco nucleare, una stazione collegata direttamente agli arsenali nucleari sovietici, pronta a dare il via al
lancio di missili, ancora..... una sorta di rete perimetrale con lo scopo di allertare le forze armate in caso di
attacco, la più fantasiosa che mi è capitato di leggere è che il segnale trasmesso dal Buzzer provenga
addirittura dallo spazio !! Insomma, il Buzzer sarebbe stato senz' altro fonte di ispirazione di scrittori come
Jules Verne. Quello che si può dire con certezza è, che tra le tante ipotesi dette, nessuno ad oggi sa per
certo quale sia il vero scopo di questa stazione che rimane tutt' ora avvolta in un muro di mistero.
La Particolarità di UVB-76:
Tutti sappiamo che il Buzzer non è solo un semplice ronzio, questo ronzio ogni tanto si interrompe per
lasciare spazio ad un messaggio vocale composto nella maggior parte delle volte da una serie di nomi,
lettere e numeri in lingua russa. Credo che sia questo il principale motivo per cui tanti (compreso me)
passano tanto tempo davanti al ricevitore.... La caccia al messaggio !! Questi, non hanno un' ordine, un'
orario o una cronologia logica per cui catturare il messaggio non è cosa facile. In tanti si sono cimentati nel
disperato tentativo di riuscire a decodificare i messaggi, c'è anche chi ha cercato di usare vari cifrari ma
nessuno è mai riuscito nell' intento.
Strani messaggi:
Nel corso degli anni si sono verificati strani episodi riguardo ai messaggi di UVB-76, messaggi non comuni,
forse inviati per sbaglio, o forse no:
Il 2 Settembre del 2010 alle 22.25 Utc il ronzio del Buzzer si interrompe e inizia la trasmissione di un brano
di Tchaikovsky tratto dal Lago dei Cigni.
Il 3 Novembre del 2001 fu ricevuta un conversazione in russo che diceva " Io sono 143 non si riceve il
generatore ( oscillatore ) quella roba viene dalla stanza hardware".
L' 11 Novembre del 2010 fu ascoltata una conversazione telefonica della durata di 30 min circa.

Dopo tante ore spese davanti al ricevitore, finalmente la mia pazienza viene premiata, alle ore 16.41 Utc il
Buzzer trasmette un messaggio, dopo qualche attimo di panico ho avviato la registrazione ma ho perso
qualche istante dell' inizio, il file audio lo potete vedere/ascoltare in questo video:

Insomma, ascoltare UVB-76 non è solo sentire il classico ronzio ma è qualcosa di più, inoltre va detto che è
un' ascolto alla portata di tutti, è sufficiente una semplice radio/ricevitore a onde corte per ascoltarlo, in
alternativa, l' utilizzo dei vari ricevitori on-line, non sarà la stessa cosa però....... Personalmente li utilizzo
anche io ( a volte ) per ascoltare UVB-76 quando la propagazione è scarsa e il segnale da noi non arriva.

In Ukraine came into force a law on international service. The law "On the system of foreign broadcasting of Ukraine",
published on the eve of the official newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada "Voice of Ukraine" came into force today. It
creates a legal basis of state enterprises entrusted with the tasks and functions of broadcasting outside Ukraine.
According to the law, the system of public broadcasted part of the state enterprise "Multimedia platform broadcasted
Ukraine" (MPIU) and the Ukrainian National Information Agency "Ukrinform".
The main objectives of the system of public broadcasted defined objective, complete, timely and impartial information
about socially significant events in Ukraine, the official domestic and foreign policy and the position of the state, the
activities of state and local governments. The international service will provide a platform for discussions on the official
position of the government bodies and local authorities, will provide comprehensive information support for the process
of Ukraine's integration into the EU and Euro-Atlantic collective security, to promote Ukrainian culture, strengthen the
international authority of Ukraine and increase of the investment attractiveness and the like.
At the same time, the document prohibits the intervention of public authorities and local governments, their officials and
officers, as well as non-governmental organizations in the activities of the subjects of the state broadcasting to foreign
countries in order to establish censorship of preliminary control or undue influence on the content of the information
disseminated. MPIU Program will be made available in English and other languages, depending on the feasibility and
urgency of the use of a language. But the volume of programs produced in English, must be at least 50%.
Media platforms will carry out its activities through the creation and distribution of information products satellite channels,
electronic broadcasting on the Internet. Essential terrestrial analog and digital broadcasting and broadcasting in cable

Today, January 19, 2016, the Commission of the Krasnoyarsk OFAS Russia found a violation in the actions of "TK"

new museum-studio radio theater, said the press service of the theater.
"In Moscow, opened a museum-studio radio theater - a new branch of the Theatre Museum of Alexei Bakhrushin. The
opening of the museum is timed to the 90th anniversary of the national radioteatr: December 25, 1925 in the name of the
radio station of the Communist International has sounded the first Soviet radio play ("Night at Maria Volkonskaya"
