Viktor Tsekhanovich, Kerch, Republic of Crimea https://dzen.ru/id/6368ec7e8762c71332d614ff "I read in the latest issue of the newsletter about the creation of various DX groups on social networks and decided to tell you what motivated me to open a group in Zen. It all started with a correspondence with one aspiring DXsyst. Yes, yes, people are still starting to study a little. I told him how reports are compiled and gave him the schedules of some stations. And he advised me to share my experience with others and open a blog on Zen, where I can post videos of receptions and frequency schedules. To be honest, I thought for a very long time. And matured. I still don't regret it very much. Yes, I have a little less than 150 subscribers in 2 years, but that's not the main thing. The main thing is that people are interested in frequency schedules, videos of the passage and what else can be accepted. And it pleases. Many people ask: why Zen and not Telegram or VK. I'll answer this question: there are already a lot of such pages. I hope that in the future I will delight you with new videos and schedules on my blog." Pioneer Day. ---------------------------------------------- The collage contains a poster from the 40s-50s and a Pioneer radio. Since 1940, the network tube radio receiver "Pioneer" has been produced by the Minsk Radio Plant named after. Molotov. In December 1940, at the newly built radio plant in Minsk, among a number of other models, the production of the newest radio receiver "Pioneer" was mastered. It was created on the basis of the radio receiver ''Gerold'' of the Polish company ''Elektrit''. Before the war (06.1941), about 15 thousand Pioneer radio receivers were produced. After the liberation of Minsk from the Germans in 1944, the restoration of the plant began, and in February 1946 the plant continued production of the modernized Pioneer receiver and the first Pioneer radio in Belarus. The post-war Pioneer radio receiver differed from the pre-war one by the presence of a tuning indicator and a number of improvements in its electrical circuit. Some of the "Pioneer" radios and radios bore the name "Minsk", but the final name "Minsk" was given to the modernized radio receiver produced in 1947. Deputy Prime Minister of the Government Chernyshenko announced this in his congratulations on Radio Day, celebrated in the Russian Federation on May 7, as reported by the state news agency TASS [https://tass.ru/ekonomika/20728641]. "In Russia, the total weekly audience of radio listeners exceeds 50 million people. Radio broadcasting continues to serve as an important means of mass communications. More than 3.5 thousand radio broadcasting licenses have been issued in the country," said the Deputy Prime Minister. Thus, in theory, in the Russian Federation, according to the number of licenses, there should be 3.5 thousand radio stations, but we do not know how many of them actually broadcast. Note that the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications (Ministry of Digital Development) also reported on May 7 [https://digital.gov.ru/ru/events/50792/] that, according to the ministry, there are 11 radio holdings and 41 federal radio stations. The first experiments in using radio signals as targeted propaganda began back in the First World War, so already in the 1920s. began to develop means of combating such signals using radio censorship. From the very beginning, the primacy in such technologies was assigned to the USSR and Germany, and by the beginning of the Second World War, almost all countries that had powerful radio transmitters joined in such "radio battles." After the end of World War II, foreign propaganda radio stations began actively broadcasting such radio programs as the Voice of America* and the BBC to the Soviet Union through dozens of powerful radio stations, and since 1948, the USSR Radio Suppression Department began an active fight against them. It got to the point that on December 14, 1950, the UN issued a resolution condemning the actions of the Soviet Union, which did not in any way affect the further development of long-range radio protection in the USSR. The enemy also developed its means of "radio attack" and by the end of the 1950s. the number of their propaganda radio stations already numbered about 40. After 1991, a huge number of magnetic tapes with recordings of various radio programs turned out to be unnecessary to anyone, and sometimes simply thrown into a landfill: among them were the only copies of wonderful radio plays with the participation of outstanding domestic actors, the voices of our greatest writers, performances of the best Soviet musicians, etc. All this Metelkin and his assistants find, restore and transfer free of charge to state archives and post it on the Internet as public property. The film tells the detective story of the rescue of unique recordings from 1953, where Boris Pasternak reads his poems from the recently written cycle for the novel "Doctor Zhivago". Now the wave is broadcast only in Berdyansk, but the time is not far off when "Free Berdyansk" will be heard in all corners of the Zaporozhye region. STORY. ======================== - Portable radio receiver "Meridian RP-348" -------------------------------------------------- ---- Since the beginning of 1988, it was produced by the Kiev plant "Radiopribor", named after S.P. Korolev. The receiver is designed for reception in the ranges LW, MW, SW-1 9.5...9.8 MHz; SW-2 11.7...12.1 MHz and VHF-FM. Reception in the SW and VHF bands is carried out using a telescopic antenna, in the LW and MW ranges using a magnetic one. The radio receiver is made according to a superheterodyne circuit with one frequency conversion and a combined AM/FM path in the IF amplifier. The accuracy of tuning in the VHF channel is ensured by the AFC system. The IF amplification stages are covered by the AGC system. The receiver is powered by 4 A-316 elements, and the discharge of the elements is controlled by an LED that lights up when the voltage drops to 4 volts. The plant arose in 1924 as a result of the merger of the Moscow Radiotelegraph Plant, electromechanical and watch workshops that were located here. In March 1925, an accident happened at MEMZ - at night, when no one was in the workshops, a fire occurred. The losses were great. Only 192 field radio stations, repaired and ready to be handed over to the military representative, burned down. This was the first serious test for the factory workers and their management. The government was deciding on the closure of the plant, but director Alexey Petrovich Butuzov stubbornly fought to preserve it. The decision to close the plant was reversed. The official date of the start of broadcasting in Russian by the broadcasting company RAI (Radio Audizioni Italiane) is November 7, 1948, it was indicated on the Russian-language page of the website and in the booklets sent out. (https://obob.tv/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/international.rai_.it-radio-russkiy-fev-2003.png) Several years ago, I decided to check the reliability of this information on the Internet by looking through the file of the weekly Radiocorriere from the 1930s and 40s, published by the Italian broadcaster EIAR. The broadcasting company EIAR (Ente Italiano per le Audizioni Radiofoniche), founded in 1927, was engaged in domestic and foreign broadcasting of fascist Italy during the reign of Mussolini, and in its weekly, in addition to the current chronicle, printed schedules of these two broadcasts. By 1941, Italian foreign broadcasts were conducted in 23 languages, including three Slavic ones - Serbo-Croatian, Bulgarian and Polish. In the network of foreign broadcasts, it was also possible to find weekly 10-minute reports in Russian from March 1940 to July 1941 from the International Institute of Agriculture (1905-1948, from 1948 - FAO, both in Rome), for which were given time on Italian radio on Saturdays. Upon further search on the Internet, two sources were found that confirm the presence of Russian-language programs in the broadcasts of the EIAR company itself. Source 1. Book "Unknown blockade", 2002 - Lomagin N.A. The author, using a link to the Russian archive of the TsGAIPD, cites the recollection of the director of the Leningrad Radio Communications and Broadcasting Department N.A. Mikhailov (quote): "Even before the war with Germany, many anti-Soviet programs were broadcast. Italy was the first to appear on the air. It was a kind of radio intervention. The Italians picked up the wave , which the population was accustomed to listening to, and anti-Soviet radio broadcasts were conducted in Russian." Here you need to keep in mind that we are talking about short waves, which in the USSR have been used since 1933 for both foreign and domestic broadcasting; for example, in 1934 there were only two frequencies - 6000 kHz and 12000 kHz, on which internal broadcasts alternated. /st Comintern (later Moscow-I) and foreign Radio Moscow. Source 2. Italian book-research "La radio italiana nel periodo fascista: studio e documenti, 1922-1945", 1976 - author Franco Monteleone. Quote from the book: "For Italy, with its entry into the war with the Soviet Union, an urgent need arose to create a broadcasting service in Russian." The author, apparently, decided not to mention or did not find documents about the pre-war beginning of Russian-language broadcasting by EIAR. Based on these sources, it can be argued that Russian-language broadcasts, in the presence of the Russian Service, were not episodic and were broadcast with varying intensity from approximately the spring of 1941 to September 1943, but were apparently conducted on unregistered frequencies and the broadcasting therefore had a kind of unofficial status, due to why there was no information about him in the weeklies. True, in one of the issues of Radiocorriere in 1943, it was still indicated in the general schedule - daily 15-minute "News in Russian" (Notiziario in russo) at 12.30 local time on an unusual frequency of 19590 kHz. Instead of EIAR, the broadcasting company RAI was established on October 26, 1944, and its international service RAI Internationale resumed broadcasting in Russian on November 7, 1948. Since 1954, under the same abbreviation, the company became known as RAI-Radiotelevisione italiana. The content of RAI's post-war international broadcasts was similar to EIAR's pre-war broadcasts, the same short 15-20 minute programs containing news, press reviews and some music. The call sign of Italian radio, the song of a mechanical nightingale, has remained unchanged since the 1930s. RAI broadcast in Russian for a long time (from the late 1960s to 1996) there were 3 programs - at 6.30 Moscow time (15 minutes) and two for 20 minutes at 8.35 and 19.05 Moscow time. The programs at 6.30 and 19.05 began with a "Review of Italian and international events," and at 8.35 with a "Review of the cultural life of Italy." After the reviews there was music - pop or classical (at 8.35 Moscow time). All international radio broadcasts by RAI were discontinued on 1 October 2007. However, RAI continues to broadcast internationally in video format. From July 25, 2022 to the present day, daily 5-minute television news in Ukrainian is published at 13.00 UTC on the website of the RAI News24 TV channel live and recorded (https://www.raiplay.it/dirette), and also published there news in English (5 minutes) daily at 11.30 UTC.
