Some of my brightest memories are associated with the radio station HCJB - "Voice of the Andes" from Ecuador. In 1971, when I first heard it, the station celebrated two anniversaries - the 40th anniversary of the start of broadcasting of the radio station and the 30th anniversary of the start of broadcasting in Russian. The station recalled how they received the first letter from a listener in the Soviet Union in 1956 and it was a holiday for the entire Russian department. In addition to religious ones, there were also secular programs dedicated to the history, tales and legends of the indigenous peoples of Ecuador - the Indians. These broadcasts were accompanied by wonderful traditional Creole music, which I have since loved for the rest of my life. The author of the programs was Elena Dmitrievna Zernova (at HCJB since 1954). It was possible to contact the station only at the end of 1979. Along with the QSL, I received a desk calendar and postcards with good wishes to me and my family from Elodia and Alexey Kuvshinikov (both were engaged in postal communication with listeners) and from the heads of the Russian department - Rufi Petrovna Shalenko (Deineka) and Yakov Ivanovich Shalenko. Ruf Petrovna is the daughter of the founder of Russian broadcasting on HCJB in March 1941, Pyotr Naumovich Deinek (1898 - 1987). (Vladimir, Rybinsk, Yaroslavlskaya oblast, Russia). P.S. To be continued in the next issue. ============================ FROM KAMCHATKA TO THE BALTIKA ============================ Radio "Gordost" is expanding its broadcasting network. ---------------------------------------------------- SET UP your receivers! Anton Sharonov, general director of the media holding, deputy of the Legislative Assembly, chairman of the regional parliament committee on state building, local government issues and information policy, announced this on April 5 on his page on the social network VKontakte. Anton Anatolyevich noted that the Express team had done a lot of work to change the concept of broadcasting on the 107.5 FM frequency, and thanked all colleagues who took an active part in this process. "I believe that Penza residents will like the new radio and they will love it. A bonus to the cool music will be news releases produced by the editorial offices of the radio broadcasting and the Penza-Press news agency," wrote the general director of the media holding. It should be noted that Radio Monte Carlo is one of the leaders in the format of modern music for a premium audience with excellent taste. The broadcast features world-class music: jazz classics, pop and rock styles, instrumental and classical compositions, as well as proven hits from different times and the best new releases. penza-press.ru (https://tele-satinfo.ru/) Primorskiy krai. ------------------------- - The radio stations of the Orbita media company in Spassk-Dalniy - "Russkoe Radio" and "Nashe Radio" - stopped working on April 1. Then, on 104.4 MHz in Spassk-Dalniy, Retro FM began broadcasting with local programs. In June 2013, it was replaced by the Vladivostok "Radio Lemma" (at that time, both the Spasskaya media group and the radio station from the regional center belonged to the Vostokcement Management Company, which, in turn, was controlled by the family of the ex-mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev). Also in 2013, in April, the media group launched "Radio VBC" on 101.3 MHz, where, in addition to Vladivostok programs, local programs were also heard. Why and who is to blame? -------------------------------------------------- --- You may not have noticed, but the TV market has undergone major changes over the last ~20 years. About thirty years ago they were considered a luxury not only in the post-Soviet space, but also in the United States.
