The transmitter is in Oaks Park, Selwood Moreland, in the south end of Portland.
Power: day/night - 2.2 kW/200 W.
24-hour broadcasting on a frequency of 1040 kHz by the Slavic Family media holding, owned by the Slavic 
Community Center of the Northwestern United States.
There is no broadcast schedule (not on the website).
Format: conversational + local advertising, many religious and educational programs.
Since 2014, the radio host and editor-in-chief of the station is Andrey Nekrasov. He was one of the founders of the 
Moscow "Radio Station Center" in 1992 (now "Radio Center-Moscow", broadcasting on CB 1602 kHz from Latvia) 
and the founder of the Russian Christian Radio Center, created in New York in 2001 to support it, since 2002 to the

How DXers can help study the ionosphere during a solar eclipse.

DXers who specialize in medium wave reception know that during a solar eclipse, an obstruction in the path of solar 
radiation can create temporary nighttime conditions well beyond the area along the eclipse path. When is the next 
solar eclipse? On October 14, 2023, there will be an annular solar eclipse, when the size of the Moon's disk as a 
whole will appear slightly smaller than the size of the Sun's disk, so it will not be as interesting for visual observers. 
However, this eclipse is expected to have the same effect on daytime medium wave reception conditions as a total 
solar eclipse, and DXers should not miss it.

The Indian authorities intend to rename the country Bharat. The corresponding resolution is going to be submitted to

The Indian government is going to change the official name of the country to "Bharat". A resolution to this effect could

Bharat" and not "President of India".
