"A little less than a year has passed since the victory in the competition of the Federal Competition Commission for Television and Radio Broadcasting for the right to broadcast in Chita to the launch of the station. Industry professionals who are familiar with the peculiarities of licensing and permits processing understand that this is a very quick result, which would have been impossible to achieve without close cooperation with our strategic partner - RTRS, whom we would like to thank for prompt interaction, "commented Roman Klimas, Executive Director MKR-Media. On November 22, on the first day of broadcasting in Chita, presenter Lyolya Bubnova will greet the inhabitants of Transbaikalia on the federal air of the First International Radio. News headings are devoted to fascinating facts, events and history of the region. To great grief, our colleague has departed into Eternity and - for many of us, just a friend Vasily Georgievich Gulyaev. He was 64 ... I received a message about this from his daughter. Not so long ago, they suffered from COVID-19 and its complications in a severe form. Alas: I did not tolerate the subsequent flu shot. We will live and remember Vasily! 73! Igor (Igor Ashikhmin, Primorskiy kray, Russia / "deneb-radio-dx" & "open-dx") - Photo from the archive. year 2014. https://rusdx.blogspot.com/2021/11/blog-post_23.html (Igor Ashikhmin, Primorskiy kray, Russia / "open-dx") - Really sad news. Vasily ran the site, shared interesting information in mailing lists and bulletins, published a bulletin about Christian radio broadcasting for some time, prepared a DX heading on TWR, confirmed reports, was one of the compilers of the "Radio Broadcasting in Russian" reference book, participated in DX conferences .. I have been in the hobby since 2001, but many will probably remember his earlier achievements as well. I am personally grateful to him for organizing quizzes within the DX-heading on Transworld Radio - a couple of years after starting his hobby, I won the WRTH-2002 reference book there. At that time, it was already a little outdated, but I studied it up and down - then it was a kind of information revelation (since there was no Internet at home and even a computer, I went to an Internet club). P.S. Vasily's website is still available - in addition to news, there is also a working page with reports on conferences EDXC-2006 and 2015.http: //dxcourier.ru/edxc.html (Alex Miatlikov, Ukraine / "deneb-radio-dx") - One of the last publications of Vasily Gulyaev - Magazine "Radio" # 11/2021 Radio reception. LLC "FM-NAVIGATOR" - Kamyshin, Volgogradskaya oblast, 88.6 MHz, 1 kW, broadcasting concept "free". Due to the fact that the only participant in the Competition for a radio channel with a frequency of 107.8 MHz, 1 kW - Kamyshin, Volgograd Region (broadcasting concept "free") was not recognized as the winner by the Federal Competition Commission for Television and Radio Broadcasting, by the decision of the Federal Competition Commission for TV and Radio Broadcasting, this Competition is considered invalid. The stand tells about the project to modernize the radio network "Radio Russii", "Mayak" and "Vesti FM". The joint project of RTRS and VGTRK involves the transfer of the broadcast of these radio stations from the VHF range to FM. The plan was fulfilled by 94%. September 10, 2019. The guide told a group of excursionists about how the team of the Nizhny Novgorod radio laboratory named after IN AND. Lenin implemented the precepts of V.I. Lenin on "a newspaper without wires and distances." But that's not why I came there. I stood in the memorial hall of the Science Museum of Nizhny Novgorod Radio Laboratory in front of a display case with a short-wave transmitter on two lamps and thought that this exhibit embodied two hobbies of my life: amateur radio communication on short waves and tube electronics. Both that, and another in the Soviet Union began within these walls. And with adventures! ... Dalmatians are already accustomed to the fact that something new appears in the city. This picture on the wall of an apartment building No. 97 on the street of the 4th Ural Regiment was also actively discussed in groups of social networks. What will be shown, why exactly here and many other questions people asked each other. On the initiative of the municipal authorities, graffiti appeared in Dalmatovo - a portrait of the inventor of radio communications, Alexander Stepanovich Popov. The street of the 4th Ural Regiment, according to the head of the city Sergei Spitsin, is quite wide, so the picture is clearly visible here. Why exactly Popov? Although the Russian physicist, electrical engineer was a native of the settlement of Turinsky mines of the Verkhoturinsky district of the Perm province, his fate, albeit for a short time, brought him to our quiet, provincial town. Here the future inventor studied for two years at the Dalmatov Theological School, where his elder brother taught. Secondary school # 2 bears the name of the inventor. This is not the first graffiti of the Tyumen artist Vladislav Takhtaulov in our city. His paintings adorn the façade of the Dalmatov School of Arts and Secondary School No. 2. Now, thanks to his paintings, even the brick walls of buildings tell the history of our city. Antenna mast is a grounded mast mounted on an insulator, around which there are a plurality of relatively thin wires connected together at the top and bottom and acting as a radiator. It's called "aimless web surfing"! The good thing about aimless surfing is you can sometimes stumble upon something interesting. Last week, I found a video I had not seen before. Remember when the Trans World Radio station on the Caribbean island of Bonaire in the Netherland Antilles beamed a powerful shortwave signal across Central and South America? We also remember Radio Nederland's Bonaire relay station that finally closed in 2012. And the Netherlands Antilles was dissolved in 2010, leaving Bonaire to become a special Caribbean municipality within the Netherlands. Well, as we all know, those shortwave days on Bonaire are long gone. But, many mediumwave DXers will be familiar with the huge 450 kW Bonaire signal on 800 kHz that can still be heard in many parts of Latin America. I don't know when the video below was recorded (the Vimeo link says it was uploaded in January 2020), but it looks reasonably current. There are some great shots of the antennas, transmitters and studios. Worth a look, even if you are not a mediumwave (AM) DXer. I hope you enjoyed this short visit to TWR Bonaire. 73 and good DX to you all, Rob Wagner VK3BVW (https://www.facebook.com/groups/wrthgroup) 73!
