Rubtsovsk. -------------------------------------- On September 12, a branch of the RTRS Altai CRTC started broadcasting Mayak radio channel in Rubtsovsk at a frequency of 102.7 MHz. The transmitter power is 1 kW. Broadcasting covers more than 183 thousand people in 73 settlements. The Mayak radio station is the oldest state-owned information and music station broadcasting around the clock. In July, she turned 55 years old. The Lighthouse is still popular and loved by listeners. (https://altai.rtrs.ru/tv/analog/rtrs-zapustil-veshchanie-radio-mayak-v-rubtsovske/) Far East and Chukotka. ------------------------------------- Throughout the territory of Chukotka in digital mode launched a short-wave digital broadcasting 09/19/2019 In the region, a digital radio broadcast has been launched in test mode. To determine the possibilities of covering HF broadcasting of the territory of the Chukotka Autonomous Region, a musical loop was broadcast to configure the equipment and determine the signal reception. It turned out that Chukchi radio could even be caught in Japan, as a radio amateur named Hans said in his letter, who also wished the region success in implementing the project. This year, the Government of Chukotka, together with specialists from the Far Eastern Regional Center of RTRS, launched an ambitious project to cover almost 100% of the region's territory with short-wave digital broadcasting. The corresponding agreement was signed by the Governor of Chukotka, Roman Kopin, and the director of the branch of the RTRS "Far East RC" Stanislav Kuznetsov. The document is a continuation of the effective cooperation of the parties in the transition to digital broadcasting in the district. - We constantly have in these remote places two thousand residents who need to be provided with communication services. Subsoil user projects are also being implemented outside the boundaries of settlements, transport communications are provided in territories that are not provided with communications. The Northern Sea Route also requires attention. These new solutions will remove restrictions and ensure communication where it is needed, "said Governor Roman Kopin. In Chukotka, broadcasting on the territory outside the settlements is especially important, as it provides communications for miners, geologists, reindeer herders and hunters working in the region with a population density of 0.07 people per square kilometer. Test broadcasting is carried out at a frequency of 12025 kHz in analog (AM) and digital DRM format. In addition to delivering a radio program to listeners, the project lays the foundation for creating a technology platform for global one- way data transfer, similar to one-way Internet. Using the DRM platform allows providing residents with high-quality sound and makes it possible to synchronously transmit programs in the national language. In addition, the format opens up the possibility of targeted notification, as well as the use of the platform for operational, duty and dispatch services, as well as projects for the informatization of the Arctic territories and the Northern Sea Route. By 2020, it is planned to provide 95.5% of the territory of Chukotka with short-wave broadcasting. Source: http: //chukotka.rf/press-tsentr/novosti/? Sunday magazine. September 15, 2019. About QSL-cards of the station: "Many listeners, and above all those who send us reports, drew attention to the fact that we have reduced the issue of official verification cards. In this regard, we are asked to send more informal, or as they say sometimes, "home-made cards." Let me explain that we mean ordinary postal or advertising cards, on which we paste a sticker with confirmation of receipt and printing. Considering that until this year we issued four verification cards a year, and now even less, unofficial cards somehow helped us get out of the situation. But, unfortunately, such cards are also not endless. Moreover, the post office almost doesn't release them now, and postcards with views of tourist attractions are also becoming less and less. Of course, we will continue to try to look for postcards and send you in the form of unofficial confirmations, But with this, I repeat, there are certain difficulties. So, please show understanding. Ivanchev (http://www.krutoymedia.ru/news/6562.htm) 17 september ------------------- Moscow says: on September 17, 1922, the era of centralized broadcasting in the USSR began. Usually, recalling the date of September 17, 1922, they say that on this day the first radio concert took place in the USSR with the participation of leading Soviet singers and artists. The concert, of course, was. But in fact, the significance of this date is much more global. The era of centralized broadcasting began on one sixth of the land. The most powerful advocacy tool of the pre-Internet era was launched. Permission to the receiver It is hard to imagine that less than a century ago we did without radio. They did not switch channels, trying to find music to their liking, did not frown annoyingly at the sounds of advertising. And there were once or twice radio receivers throughout the country, because the very concept of radio broadcast did not really work out: what to accept if there is no broadcasting ?! Is that spark signals Morse code? Radio communications was a utilitarian affair, only going beyond the concept of "wireless telegraph." And the event we are talking about did not matter locally, but worldly. Especially considering that the young Soviet state has just emerged from the bloody whirlwind of the Civil War. Is it up to concerts ?! And suddenly the whole world heard what later became legendary: "Listen! Moscow is speaking!" Only the fact that the effectiveness of the new information tool was limited by the number of radios spoiled the situation. Still, for its time it was a very advanced technique. To speed up the radioization of the whole country, a special government decree was published in the summer of 1924, "On Private Receiving Radio Stations". Citizens of the country were allowed to create "receiving radio stations." For this, it was necessary to obtain the permission of the People's Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs and register the equipment, because its owners were charged "an annual subscription fee for rates approved by the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR". True, this situation did not last long. Literally over a decade, the study of radio business became the most common activity among Soviet youth, and the number of home-made radios assembled "on the knee" went wild beyond all imaginable limits. There was a certain romance in it! At times, it is instructive that the State, of course, tried to impose restrictions on radio broadcasting in the same way as it is now trying to restrict access to Internet resources. The decision of the Council of People's Commissars unequivocally stated that it is possible to accept exclusively "material transmitted by sending radio stations specially for private receiving radio stations in broadcasting order: special broadcasting information, speeches, reports, concerts, a curriculum with Morse signs, meteorological bulletins and signals". Foreign radio stations and official radio conversations were forbidden to listen. Tracking this seriously was, of course, impossible, but the time was harsh, so as they say, it was cheaper to obey. However, this problem was soon solved by arranging the release of affordable radios that were physically unable to receive anything superfluous. And there were so many of these receivers that they listened to Moscow radio broadcasts from Leningrad to Vladivostok. Fortunately, they soon became regular: 2 years after the legendary concert, broadcasting began to be scheduled, and the radio program for a week began to be published in newspapers. True, in these programs there was neither an element of the show that is familiar today, nor host chatter. Everything was very serious and at times instructive. The educational, informative and propaganda potential of the new media was used to its fullest. To the modern listener, these programs would seem unbearably boring. But there was no obsessive advertising on the radio at all. Ivan Khlebov, dp.ru (http://onair.ru/main/enews/view_msg/NMID__74880/) 1988 ------- Archive. Anatoly Klepov. Moscow. Russia. Henrik Klementz a well known DXer whom i was a friend for at least two years ago, One of the most famous DXers of our time, Henrik Klemetz (HK), has passed away early this morning in Sweden. Henrik died in a hospital in the town of Bor?s as a result of a serious illness. Henrik had lived for years in Colombia, and he was known especially for his unparallelled knowledge about the radio scene in Latin America. In 1989 he wrote a book titled "Latin America by Radio", which was and still is a fabulous guidebook for identifying Latin American stations. In recent years he has not been actively DXing himself, but he has continued to help numerous DXers to identify Spanish- language stations, doing a lot of research, and often discovering the identity of obscure local stations unlisted in any publication. Henrik will be greatly missed among the global DXing community. Henrik also contributed to the DXing.info website, and is featured on this page: Log in to Facebook | Facebook Log in to Facebook to start sharing and connecting with your friends, family and people you know.
